National Service Scheme
Radhakrishanan Education Commission recommended N.S.S. on Voluntary basis in 1950 . Subsequently , the First–Prime Minister Of India , Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru appointed a Committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. C. D. Deshmukh to prepare the Scheme .Dr. D. S. Kothari Commission also recommended that the Scheme should be on Voluntary basis for College Students . The year 1969 was celebrated the Birth Centenary Year of Mahatma Gandhi , the Father Of Nation , whose religion was Social Service , and therefore taking these things into account , National Service Scheme was implemented in 1969 in India .

Special Activities Carried Out By N. S. S. Department
• Department organize District Level Camp to Develop Leadership in student at Shri Kshetra Kapildhar from 1st December To 5th December 2009. For this camp all Colleges from District took part. 120 Volunteer Participated in the camp.
•Dr. Vivek Mirgane was appointed as Regional Co-ordinator for the year 2009 – 2010.
•Shri Raju Wadmare was selected for to give honour to Govener on 26th January 2010 at Mumbai.
•From 2009 – 2010 The Special camp organized Shri. Shetra Ramgad to carried out :
•Tree Plantation.
•To Create farm – pond.
•To keep whole Area Clean.
•Tree Plantation was carried out in Kumshi Village in front of each House Tree was Plantled .
